위대한 외침

우리 민족은 한때 식민지배에서 해방되기 위해 외쳤다.

용기있는 일이었다. 하지만 결국 우리 자신을 위한 일이었다.

 

또한 민주화를 위해 외쳤다.

역시 용기있는 일이었다. 그러나 역시 우리 자신을 위한 일이었다.

 

어떤 이는 임금 인상을 위해서

어떤 이는 고용 안정을 위해서

어떤 이는 취약 산업을 위해서

어떤 이는 생존 권리를 위해서

어떤 이는 자연 보호를 위해서

어떤 이는 기지 건설을 위해서

어떤 이는 기지 반대를 위해서

어떤 이는 사회 혁명을 위해서

어떤 이는 인권 보호를 위해서

 

용기있게 외쳤다.

 

용기가 비겁함을 이기는 순간은 위대했다.

이제 어디에서든 외치는 자는 부족하지 않다.

우리 민족은 여기까지 오는데도 60년이나 걸렸다.

 그러나, 그 모든 외침은 결국 우리 자신을 위한 일이다.

 

이제 누군가가 탈북자들을 위해 외치기 시작했다.

우리가 그들을 위해 외치기 시작할 때 이 땅에는 놀라운 일이 일어난다.

반만년 역사상 처음으로, 진정 남을 위해 용기내는 자들이 일어나는 것이다.

 

용기가 비겁함을 이기는 것은 교육과 민주화로 가능하지만,

긍휼함이 죄성을 이기는 것은 오직 하나님의 영으로만 가능하다.

 

하나님의 영이 이 땅을 운행하시면서, 처음으로 저들을 위한 외침이 울려퍼졌다.

가장 하나님께서 기뻐하시는 외침. 이제 올려지기 시작한 것이다.

 

 

민족 독립을 외쳐서 자유로운 백성이 되었다.

독재 타도를 외쳐서 민주주의를 누리는 시민이 되었다.

북송 저지를 외쳐서 얻게 될 것은 무엇인가.

 

정의로운 민족이 되는 것이다. 명예로운 민족이 되는 것이다.  

그리고 하나님의 축복을 받는 제사장 민족이 되는 것이다.

 

우리는 지금 민족의 역사가 업그레이드 되는 위대한 순간을 살고 있다.
