‘왕재산회의?’ 北의 완전한 역사날조
|
북한 간첩단사건과 ‘왕재산’
|
국가정보원은 북한의 대남공작부서인 225국(구 대외연락부)의 지령에 따라 결성된 간첩단인 ‘왕재산’사건을 수사중이다. 이미 5명을 구속하였고 간첩단 잔존세력을 일망타진하기 위해 수사중이다.
안보사건의 중요성에 동의하여, 그 동안 엠바고(Embargo, 언론사들이 일정시점까지 관련 내용을 보도하지 않을 것을 약속하는 용어)를 지키기 위해 보도를 자제했던 언론들이 연합뉴스를 필두로 어제 오후 늦게부터 이 사건을 보도하고 있다.
동아일보 등 각 언론사의 보도내용을 접한 필자는 아연실색할 수밖에 없었다. 각 언론이 보도하고 있는 간첩단 명칭인 ‘왕재산’에 대한 해설 때문이다.
왕재산이란 함경북도 온성지방의 한 마을이름으로 북한에서는 ‘왕재산회의’로 더 잘 알려져 있다. 북한의 공식문헌에 의하면 ‘왕재산회의’란 1933년 3월 11일 김일성이 항일유격대의 부대를 이끌고 함경북도 온성지방 왕재산에 진출하여 소집했다는 ‘온성지구 지하혁명조직책임자 및 정치공작회의’를 말한다. 이 회의에서 김일성이 <무장투쟁을 국내로 확대발전시키기 위하여>라는 연설을 통해 무장투쟁을 국내로 확대발전시켜야 함을 강조하고 반(反)유격구 창설방침을 제시했다고 주장한다. 북한에서는 중요한 항일혁명의 사적지로 성역화되어 있다.
그러나, 이는 북한의 완전한 역사날조이다. ‘왕재산회의’란 존재하지 않는 허구인 것이다. 왕재산회를 개최했다는 1933년 당시, 김일성은 북한주장대로 백두산을 근거지로 반일인민유격대를 이끌고 있었던 것이 아니라, 만주 동만지구 중국공산당 유격대인 동북인민혁명군(1936년 동북항일연군으로 통합)에 가담하여 중국공산당을 위해 충성을 바치고 있었다. 왕재산회의는 북한당국이 김일성을 우상화하기 위해 역사조작한 항일무장투쟁사 중의 하나이다.
이러한 사실을 외면하고 국내 언론이 왕재산간첩단사건을 보도하며, 왕재산회의에 대한 북한의 조작 주장을 여과없이 그대로 인용하여 보도하는 것은 사실(FACT)에 어긋나는 것이다. 북한 김씨집단의 천인공로할 역사조작을 정당화하고 선전해주는 것임을 알아야 한다.
이러한 해프닝은 불과 100년도 안된 해방전후사에 대한 인식의 부재와 오류 때문에 아직도 북한 김일성의 정체를 제대로 파악하지 못하고 있기 때문이다. 김일성은 북한이 주장한 것처럼, 백두산을 근거지로 독자적으로 조선인민혁명군이라는 항일무장단체를 결성하여 조선해방을 이룬 것이 아니라. 1920년대는 비적활동을 1930년대 중국공산당을 위해 1940년대는 소련공산당을 위해 일부 항일활동을 전개한 것 뿐이다. 조선독립운동을 위해 종사한 적이 없는 자이다.
수사당국은 왕재산간첩단 사건의 공식발표시 전문가의 자문을 얻어, 간첩단 명칭인 왕재산의 유래에 대해 정확히 알려야 할 것이다.
