[³ìÃë:¼³¸®¹Ý ÀÇ¿ø] ¡°It¡¯s best not to put the cart before the horse. Right? They need to make some more concrete commitments like they indicated they were interested in doing it and the communique between the President and Kim Jong Un. But, I think we need to get to some of those before we start talking about that issue.¡±
[³ìÃë:¼³¸®¹Ý ÀÇ¿ø] ¡°I don¡¯t have specifics, but you know, full and complete denuclearization is important, which is again what everybody, everybody, American, North Korea supposedly, China have all committed to.¡±
[³ìÃë:¼³¸®¹Ý ÀÇ¿ø] ¡°And, I think there is also the issue, remember, all the provocations that have occurred on the peninsular including the launching of the war in 1950 have been from North Korea. Right? They have been the provocateurs. And I think just looking at the way their military is raid on the 38 parallel is very provocative. So, I think you need to raise those issues as well.¡±
[³ìÃë:¼³¸®¹Ý ÀÇ¿ø] ¡°US troops should not be going anywhere. I think if you talk to the President and if you certainly, there is a sense of Congress right now in the National Defense Authorization Act, I wrote it, that says there should be no consideration of removing troops in exchange, legally deployed American forces in exchange for illegally deployed nuclear weapons and I think you would have 100 US Senators supporting that. It was unanimous.¡±
[³ìÃë:ÆÛµà ÀÇ¿ø] ¡°Well, I think anything is possible. I mean it¡¯s all part of the bigger issue of denuclearization so I¡¯m delighted here that Kim Jong Un say that he would like to cease or get a treaty to end the Korean war. We¡¯ve all said that that¡¯s one of our priorities. But, the very first priority is denuclearization.¡±
[³ìÃë:ÆÛµà ÀÇ¿ø] ¡°Well, first of all. You have to get all the participants to agree to the terms of some treaty. We have armistice that¡¯s in place but we need formalize it in a form of treaty. The first thing you should to have is to get an agreement from all the players to do that and then, they would have to come to the terms about what the substances of that treaty will include.¡±
[³ìÃë:¾ð½ºÆ® ÀÇ¿ø]¡±I think it¡¯s important that we continue having talks with North Korea but our overall aim as well as the rest of the world, their aim is as well is to denuclearize the Korean peninsula. If we can come together on those terms, then the war can end. But, there is a lot of work yet to be done
[³ìÃë:¾ð½ºÆ® ÀÇ¿ø]¡± ¡°I just feel firmly we have such a tremendous partnership with the South Koreans and it¡¯s not just because of the North Koreans that those troops are based there. It is for defense of that region as well. And, there may be other perpetrators that we need to keep our eye on.¡±
[³ìÃë:°¡µå³Ê ÀÇ¿ø] ¡°There should be no consideration of any relief to North Korea until they complete concrete steps toward denuclearization. I know this may sound repetitive but North Korea hasn¡¯t done anything to comply with their Singapore commitment and until they do that, there should be no consideration of any relief.¡±
