긍휼과 사랑으로 싸운다!
증오와 패러디는 그들의 무기로 남겨 두자.

얼마전 ‘나꼼수’방송은 자신들의 정치적 입장을 위해 찬송가를 패러디하는 몰염치한 짓을 저질렀다. 그들도 이것이 비신사적 행위임은 알았을 것이다. 다만 조롱과 패러디가 갖고 있는 파괴적인 선전효과를 포기할 수 없었던 것이다. 자칭 진보라는 자들을 자세히 들여다보면, 정당한 과정보다 결과를 중시하는 마키아벨리즘적 요소를 쉽게 볼 수 있다. 그들에게는 국회에 최루탄을 던지는 반칙도 의거이다. 광우병 사태의 과장도, 비전제시 대신 적개심을 자극하는 온갖 행패와 사실 왜곡도 다 정당화가 된다.

 

건설보다 투쟁에 능한 이들이 정권을 잡아서는 안된다. 한평생 기득권을 적대시 하던 이들은 비전이 부재하기 때문이다. 그래서 정작 승리의 순간이 오면 길을 잃고, 대게 더 추하게 타락하거나 내부의 적을 만들어 분열된다. 당장 그들에게 투쟁의 대상이 누구인지 물어보라. 한맺힌 목소리로 분명한 대답을 해 줄 것이다. 그러나 비전을 물어보라. 기껏해야 옹색한 쿠바식 내수 경제 모델이나 들을 수 있을 것이다.

 

사실 북의 정권을 무너뜨리거나, 좌파를 지리멸렬하게 흩어버릴 방법은 얼마든지 있다. 우리가 그들의 방법을 쓰면 되는 것이다. 플래쉬와 동영상으로 김정은 패러디에 노력을 기울이면 어떻게 될까? 김씨정권 패러디 노래를 세련된 K-POP으로 만들어 대북 방송으로 송신하면 금새 유행가가 될 것이다. 풍선 삐라로 ‘경애하는 김정남 장군 밑에 모이자’는 식의 이간질을 하면 효과가 클 것이다. 한 많은 새터민 청소년들에게 적개심과 극우적 이념을 주입하면 운동원으로 활용할 수도 있다.(사실 기자는 남한내 좌파에 대한 격한 증오감을 표출하는 새터민들을 자주 만난다.) 만일 최소한의 군사지식과 몇백만 달러의 자금만 있다면 30만 재중 탈북자들을 조직해 알 카에다같은 항김 자살 테러단도 조직할 수 있을 것이다.

 

하지만 우리는 그 길을 가서는 아니된다. 증오와 패러디는 그들의 무기로 남겨 두자. 긍휼 없는 정의는 잔인한 한풀이에 지나지 않는다. 우리는 정직과 정론을 포기해서는 안된다. 이성적 논리와 신사적인 태도를 견지하며 긍휼과 사랑으로 계몽시켜 나가야 한다. 기도하며, 그 누구도 증오하지 말아야 한다. 김정은에 대한 패러디보다는 자유통일 한국의 비전을 이야기하자. 대북 방송과 삐라는 정의와 진리, 그리고 복음의 통로가 되어야 한다. 새터민들에게는 복음과 치유가 먼저다. 그리고 구구단과 알파벳부터 천천히 가르쳐야 한다. 그래야 성숙한 인격과 준비된 실력으로 통일 한국을 맞이할 수 있다. 이는 답답할 정도로 느린 길이며 주목받지 못하는 길이다. 그러나 민족을 변화시킬 수 있는 유일한 길이다.

 

거룩한 보수의 길은 험난하다. 투쟁의 낭만도 패러디의 통쾌함도 없다. 도리어 개독과 극우라는 억울한 십자가를 져야 하는 좁은 길, 가시밭 길이다. 하지만 결코 외로운 길은 아니다. 넬슨 만델라, 마틴 루터 킹, 윌버포스와 에이브러햄 링컨, 마르틴 루터와 예수 그리스도에 이르기까지, 구름같이 허다한 증인들이 우리와 함께 있다.
